These walnut grips were a factory option for Colt Anaconda. Will also fit other V/MM frame Colts, like King Cobra and Trooper/Lawman MkV. Finished in natural clear coat to replicate the original factory finish.
These grips will NOT fit the current production Anaconda, and at this point we are not offering “retro style” grips for it. However, any of our Python grips will fit the current production Anaconda.
IMPORTANT: These particular grips are meant for display and restoration purposes only. The original grips were very poorly designed, just a thin shell of wood that can easily crack from the recoil when you shoot the gun. Since our grips are exact reproductions of Colt’s design, they can crack in the very same manner. This is why original grips are so difficult to find, and this is also why we can’t guarantee that our reproductions will hold up when shooting.
The frame width and pin sizes on the Anacondas and King Cobras can vary slightly, so we make the grips to fit the largest frame we have had access to. This means that the grips will always fit, but they may be a bit loose on some guns. The fitting procedure we recommend is:
To tighten loose pin fit, place small pieces of paper towel on the pin holes and put the panel on the frame. This is usually all it takes to make up for the difference in pin size, but more paper can be added if you prefer a tighter fit.
To adjust side-to-side fit, place a piece of sandpaper on a flat surface. Sand the mating surfaces on the panels a little bit at a time until they fit snugly. Test fit frequently to ensure that you don’t sand off too much.

Never did like the rubber grips on my 87 King Cobra, been looking and used original ones are crazy priced and some not so nice looking. Like wood grips on my revolvers and these were exactly what I wanted. Beautiful finish and surely could pass as originals. Other companies had grips but most didn’t match the original look.
These were a little loose on the side to side fitment, but a piece of flat aluminum plate and some 400 grit sandpaper took care of that problem. Sanded a small amount on each side until they were a nice and snug fit. Highly recommended grips and will be ordering a set for my 82 Colt Python, to replace the chipped ones on it now. Thanks for the great product!

Got the Anaconda old style grips yesterday. They fit perfectly. Hand squeezed them on. No wiggle or metal to wood gaps. Snug fitting with no fitting work on my part. Excellent product.
